Carencro Hip-Hop artist Chazzy Kaidd has already proven his ability to create music and flow through production effortlessly. He spent the majority of 2020 in the studio releasing music to the masses and dropping singles showcasing his talent and potential. Chazzy even took a detour to drop a themed Valentine’s Day EP filled with collaborations and a slower sound. Now in 2021, Chazzy Kaidd looks to take the next step artistically and begin experimenting with new sounds, thus the new EP “Not The Same” was born.

While spending time in Vegas, Chazzy would begin extensive work with Lil Big City Studios, the pandemic shut things down, however the work never stopped. The four-track EP comes in at just under 15 minutes, but in that time Chazzy brings you on a vivid journey, where his storytelling and wordplay is paramount. At the helm is Rahi who both produced the project and engineered the sonic presentation making this more than an album but an auditory experience. Chazzy presents a confidence and raw talent that blends perfectly with Rahi’s hazy yet thumping soundscapes.The EP begs for repeats affirming that the masses need a full-length project from the talented duo. “Mortals” has the Louisiana artist introducing us to his life and hometown, drawing his line in the sand. He is “Not The Same” and the following three tracks solidify this.

Chazzy and Rahi come together to bring a listen that will have listeners thirsting for more and thirsting to hear these four tracks live. With only one feature on the album from Oklahoma City artist Zie, Chazzy is paving a lane for himself tapping into new sounds laying the groundwork for the rest of the year.
